Important PASHRM notice

DO NOT RESPOND. MESSAGE RETURNS TO WEBSITE NOT SENDER.

Dear PASHRM Members,

As you probably know, within the past few months, we have upgraded the code on our website. This has indirectly impacted our e mail forms. If you look at the FROM line, it has something like

Leepatrick1028@yahoo.com info@pashrm.net

This indicates that it was generated from the server where our website resides. We have created a “work around” to show which member sent the message. Because of the address conflict, most servers (work as well as Yahoo, G Mail, etc) will see the message as SPAM. Many will not even let it get to your SPAM folder. (it is totally blocked).

Because various rules regarding SPAM mail have become the standard, we can no longer send e mail the way we did in the past (where it would return to the sender)..

Currently, whenever you respond to an e mail sent from the website, it comes to me, as Webmaster, but not generally to the intended recipient (unless they perhaps can over ride their SPAM settings and allow those messages to pass.)

To remind everyone to send replies directly to the sender (and not the website), future e mail templates will have a disclaimer similar to the one you see here on the first line. You will need to type in their address on the TO line so that it goes directly to them. We have tried for a few months to change the system but cannot create a workaround to get past the SPAM filters.

Thanks for your understanding

Lee Patrick, RN, BHA, MBA, CPHRM

PASHRM Webmaster and Past President

Drug Shortages Hit Record High in 2011
Monday, January 9, 2012

The University of Utah Drug Information Service said there were 267 prescription-drug shortages in 2011, compared with 211 in 2010 and 58 in 2004. More than 100 shortages were averted last year, partly because of a requirement that drugmakers notify the FDA of impending supply problems.
