Message From The President

Welcome to the Philadelphia Area Society for Healthcare Risk Management.

PASHRM remains, after 30 years, a successful professional Society and leader in Healthcare Risk Management within the Philadelphia region. This has been accomplished by providing continuous support to risk management professionals with current, topical and relevant education and facilitating networking opportunities to further develop our Society members and profession. The organization’s objectives have been successfully accomplished through the tireless dedication of PASHRM’s members serving as board volunteers, members of committees, and as speakers and participants in educational programs and other member services.

As we celebrate 30 years, we reflect on the inordinate and sometimes difficult changes experienced within the risk profession and healthcare in general. ASHRM, our parent organization has guided our professional Society’s efforts into being a leading voice in patient safety and risk management amongst a vast array of other healthcare organizations. PASHRM has been a supportive organization on both the national and local levels raising their voice for risk management and patient concerns.

It is through the dedication of so many PASHRM members, risk management in the PA region, healthcare providers have come to recognize and respect our members. So today, we must take a moment to congratulate ourselves on our dedication to this profession and the success of our regional Society.
