Letter From The President

Welcome to the Philadelphia Area Society for Healthcare Risk Management.

We were established in August of 1980 with 25 members and currently maintain active membership of 150 professionals dedicated to the field of healthcare risk management.  They work primarily in provider organizations, insurance companies, consulting organizations, research institutes, and law firms.  Meetings are monthly on the 4th Thursday of the month.  As you can imagine, the networking and professional development opportunities are limitless. 

Because of you, our dedicated members, PASHRM continues to grow.  Consider participation on a committee or even a Board position.  Only qualified leaders, such as you, will ensure the continued growth of our wonderful organization.  If there is a particular topic that you would like more information or have an idea for a speaker, contact members of the program committee.  Want to find out how others are handling a certain situation or need policy samples, send an e-mail to the membership.  Need another member’s contact information, look them up in the directory.  Need to change your member listing, contact our membership committee chair.  Want to post a position within your organization, have a suggestion regarding the website, or have a general suggestion or question, send an e-mail to info@pashrm.net.  Only members have access to this depth and breadth of information available to them in the members-only section. 

As professionals in your field, consider certification in healthcare risk management.  ASHRM offers prep courses to assist and education is a life long investment that continually pays for itself.  If enough members were interested, PASHRM would consider hosting the prep course here or nearby in conjunction with another local chapter.
