CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

We are excited to announce the opening of nominations for PASHRM’s 2027 Board of Directors. We seek nominations for the following leadership positions:

    • President-Elect
    • Treasurer

These roles play an important part in shaping the Society’s strategic direction, programming, and financial stewardship. We welcome nominations of engaged PASHRM members who are interested in leadership and professional service.  Self-nominations are encouraged. Please feel free to reach out to Lisa Ramthun if you have any questions related to either the President-Elect or Treasurer positions.

Position Descriptions:

President‑Elect

The President-Elect position plays an important role in ensuring the orderly transition of the Board.  They become President if the President resigns, or the position of President otherwise becomes vacant and will serve the former President’s unexpired terms, as well as the full term to which he or she was elected.   The President-Elect acts in the absence of the President as chair of the Board, works closely with the President to ensure continuity of leadership, and supports the efforts of the President. This position is  a three-year commitment as it transitions from President-Elect to President and then to Past-President.

The President‑Elect serves as a key member of the PASHRM Executive Committee and Board of Directors, supporting strategic leadership and organizational continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

      • Collaborate with the President and Board to advance PASHRM’s mission, strategic priorities, and annual goals
      • Support planning and execution of educational programs, events, and member engagement initiatives
      • Assume the duties of the President as needed in their absence
      • Prepare to transition to the role of President at the conclusion of the President‑Elect term, ensuring leadership continuity

Desired Qualifications:

      • Active PASHRM member with demonstrated commitment to the Society
      • Leadership experience within PASHRM or other professional organizations
      • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
      • Interest in shaping the future direction of healthcare risk management in the region

Treasurer

The Treasurer serves as the chief financial steward of PASHRM and is responsible for overseeing the Society’s financial integrity and sustainability. The Treasurer is a key member of the PASHRM Executive Committee and Board of Directors, supporting fiscal viability and continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

      • Oversee PASHRM’s financial operations, including budgeting, financial monitoring, and reporting
      • Present regular financial updates to the Board of Directors
      • Ensure accurate record‑keeping and appropriate fiscal controls
      • Support annual budgeting and long‑term financial planning in alignment with PASHRM’s strategic goals
      • Partner with Board leadership to ensure responsible stewardship of Society funds

Desired Qualifications:

      • Active PASHRM member in good standing
      • Experience with budgeting, financial oversight, or fiscal management
      • Strong attention to detail and commitment to transparency and accountability
      • Willingness to collaborate closely with Board and committee leadership
