Objectives:

1.      Provide an overview of the risk issues faced during the emergence of COVID-19

2.      Solve the risks associated with the “new normal”  in the delivery of care to patients

3.      Through a group discussion, conduct an analysis of how risk managers are managing their workloads and shifting priorities during the pandemic

 

Biography:

Dominic Adams is the Senior Director Risk Management at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). He is responsible for leading the organization’s clinical risk management activities, which includes the daily functions of the risk management program, and managing claims against the organization and its staff. He is currently serving as President for the Philadelphia Area Society of Healthcare Risk Management (PASHRM). In addition to his risk management background, Dominic also has a strong understanding of hospital operations and revenue cycle management as he held various positions in pervious healthcare and consulting organizations. He is a proud alum of both Saint Joseph’s University where he received his Master’s in Health Administration degree and Lincoln University where he received his Bachelor’s degree.
